Experience:
I have been teaching mathematics for 19.5 years, 19 years with the Allen Park Public Schools. I have taught at APHS for the past 14 years and previously taught at APMS for 5. I have taught Algebra 1 for 7 years (not consecutively), Geometry for 12, Calculus for 7, Pre-Calculus for 6, Algebra 2 for many, and Advanced Placement Calculus for 4 year. This year I am teaching Algebra 1, Pre-Calculus, and Advanced Placement Calculus. I am also the math department chair at APHS.
Education:
I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Education from Central Michigan University in 1994 with a Major in Mathematics and a minor is School Health Education. I earned a Master's of Education from Wayne State University in 2001 in Instructional Technology with an Interactive Technologies Emphasis.
Extra Curricular:
I am active in the math department preparing for future initiative in mathematics for APHS. I also serve on various committees within the building. I am the father of 4 children ages 15 to 9 years of age. I am a soccer coach with the Rush Downriver Soccer Club. I have also coached soccer at APMS (years ago) and softball as the JV head coach and Varsity assistant (again many years ago.) Students will see me at various school sponsored events throughout the school year to show my interest and support in their lives.
